Rabies Map

In collaboration with:

This is an interactive map of historical rabies data from the state of Kentucky. The source of the data is Kentucky Department of Public Health for 1989-2017, and is now stored and maintained at the University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in the Epidemiology section. Kentucky Fish & Wildlife has also submitted their data to include.  Data from USDA-APHIS is also now included. The default map setting illustrates the numbers of all submissions regardless of result or species by county.

To narrow results, use Date Range to narrow a time frame or leave blank to utilize the entire 27 year database.  Use Select Test Result to display one or multiple of the available results. Use Select Species to display one or multiple of the available species. To add a condition to results or species, click on the dropdown icon to select the preferred category; continue this process for multiple categories. To remove a condition or return to default, either manually delete a condition or select the X icon to remove all.  Clicking on the county gives more detailed information based on conditions.
