Important Service Advisory: Potential Delays to FedEx Priority Sample Shipments

Dear VDL Customers,

We are writing to inform you of a current service advisory regarding widespread shipping delays being experienced by FedEx across their network during the month of December.

This situation has the potential to impact the scheduled delivery of any priority samples or materials we ship to you using FedEx Priority services or that you ship to us.


 

What This Means for Your Shipments:

While we use the fastest available services and package your materials for immediate shipment, the current FedEx delays mean:

• Potential for Extended Delivery Times: Priority shipments may not arrive within the originally quoted timeframe (e.g., overnight or 2-day delivery).

• Tracking Updates May Be Slower: Tracking information may take longer to update during transit.

• Shipping Errors: Packages listed as not deliverable on weekends when we are open for deliveries.

Effective Dec. 1, 2025 

As we work to maintain the highest standards of safety and service for our customers and team members and manage the temporary reduction in fleet capacity while MD-11 safety reviews are underway, we are flexing our integrated air-ground network to provide continued connectivity. Due to the anticipated seasonal volume, the FedEx Money-Back Guarantee will be suspended for packages shipped on or after Dec. 1, 2025, for the following time-definite FedEx services, until further notice.

  • FedEx Standard Overnight®
  • FedEx 2Day® A.M.
  • FedEx First Overnight Extra Hours*
  • FedEx Priority Overnight Extra Hours*

  • FedEx International Priority®
  • FedEx International Priority® Express 
  • FedEx International Priority® Freight
