Bacteriology Susceptibility test (MIC)-Companion animal Isolated bacterium. Up to 2 days after bacterium is isolated. The Bacteriology Section performs the MIC method. Antimicrobials tested depends on the species of bacterium and species of animal from which the bacterium was recovered. $25.00 $37.50 Sensitivity(QN)
Clinical Pathology CBC EDTA blood, minimum of 1 ml, ideal sample to be a full EDTA tube for proper EDTA to blood ratio Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri $26.00 $39.00 Automated Instrument and Microscopic
Clinical Pathology CBC (no differential) EDTA blood, minimum of 1 ml, ideal sample to be a full EDTA tube for proper EDTA to blood ratio Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri $13.00 $19.50 Automated Instrument
Clinical Pathology CBC Differential Only (manual) 2 to 4 peripheral smear of fresh, anticoagulated EDTA Blood. Prepare smears by placing a drop of blood on a clean glass slide and pushing the drop out to a feathered edge. Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri RBC morphology is reviewed along with the differential cell count. $13.00 $19.50 Visual Microscopic
Clinical Pathology Chemistry Panel 1 ml. serum: Clear, unhemolyzed serum is the preferred sample. Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri $26.00 $39.00 Automated Instrument
Clinical Pathology Chemistry Panel-Ruminant 1 ml. serum: Clear, unhemolyzed serum is the preferred sample. Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri $26.00 $39.00 Automated Instrument
Clinical Pathology Fecal Flotation (Qualitative) Assay 5 grams of fresh fecesĀ  Sample should be submitted fresh or can be refrigerated for up to 7 days after collection. Sample should be shipped overnight cold with an ice pack. Test is performed daily if sample is received by 3:00 PM Mon-Fri This is a qualitative fecal assay in which feces are dissolved in a flotation media and ova are visualized under a microscope. This is the preferred method for small (dog, cat) and exotic animals. Results are reported in a qualitative fashion as: no parasites are seen, rare, mild, moderate, severe and TNTC (too numerous to count). $20.00 $30.00 QL
Clinical Pathology Urinalysis 12 ml Fresh voided or cathetherized or cytocentesis urine. Test is done daily if received by 3:00 PM. Mon-Fri $18.00 $27.00 Automated Instrument, Visual, Microscopic, Refractometer
Diagnostic Plans Bovine Abortion Multiplex PCR Placenta and fetal organs such as liver, lung, brain, kidney, spleen, stomach content and heart, bacterial, viral or protozoal isolate Please submit the specimens as soon as possible in refrigerated conditions. 1-2 work day This panel has been implemented to detect major viral, bacterial or protozoa agents causing abortion in cattle. The infectious disease agents in this panel includes Bovine Herpes Virus 1, Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus, Neospora caninum, Leptospira, Toxoplasma gondii and Listeria monocytogenes. Test results should be interpreted with clinical signs and other related laboratory findings. $103.00 $103.00 Real-time PCR(QL)
Diagnostic Plans Calf Diarrhea Panel (Multiplex PCR) Fecal specimen (at least 5 gr), intestinal scraping, bacterial isolate, nucleic acid Specimens are submitted in a well labeled leak-proof container maintained at cold temperature during transport. Do not submit fecal specimens in gloves, screw-cap tubes are preferred. 2-3 days This is a multiplex PCR assay. These test results are intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Bovine cornonavirus, Bovine rotavirus group A, E. coli K99, Salmonella, and Cryptosporidium. Results should be considered in conjunction with the quality of specimen submitted, clinical signs and animal history. In case of positive results for Salmonella or E. coli, aerobic culture can be requested and antimicrobial susceptibility performed. $63.00 $95.00 Real-time PCR(QL)
Molecular Biology Bluetongue Virus (BTV) and Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (EHDV) real-time PCR 10 ml whole blood (EDTA), swab, tissue (minimum 0.3 gr) or viral isolate Please submit the specimens as soon as possible in refrigerated conditions. 2 working day This test has been developed to detect both Bluetongue Virus (BTV) and Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (EHDV) using a multiplex real-time PCR assay. $57.00 $85.50 Real-time PCR(QL)
